VANISHING ELEPHANT

Not to be mistaken for one another. ‘The Elephant Vanishes' is a collection of short stories by Japanese author Haruki Murakami, focusing on painful issues such as loss, destruction, confusion and loneliness. 'Vanishing Elephant' on the other hand, is a Sydney based menswear collective with a classic aesthetic, marking a return to gentlemanly style. The latter’s reference is a more optimistic and emotional landscape with influences ranging from general happiness, elegance and quality nu-rave preparatory wear with a purpose. Stranger comparisons have been made, but what Murakami and Vanishing Elephant do share, other than similar monikers, is that both of their works are deserving of your attention.

Vanishing Elephant’s February drop is in store now, with further deliveries happening throughout March and April.
